Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award to Mr. Nalin Kothari
1. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) is celebrated every year on 09 January since 2003. The main purpose of celebrating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is to recognize the contribution made by overseas Indian diaspora in the development of India.
2. Mr. Nalin Kothari, a prominent Person of Indian Origin, who functioned as Honorary Consul of India in Djibouti for 3 decades from December 1987 till the Embassy of India in Djibouti was opened in 2019, was honoured with the Pravasi Bhartiya Ssamman Award in 2017 for distinguished services in the field of Community Service.
