New e-Visa Instructions

Liberalization of Indian e-Visa.

The following new facilities have been provided to the foreigners applying for e-Visa for India in instructions received in September 2019 from Government of India,:-

(i). Tourist Visa & Other e-Visa @ Zero Fee: Short term Tourist Visa, Short term Tourist Visa during off-season (April-June), all other type of e-Visa up to 01 year or 05 year validity would be available at zero visa fee to14 Pacific Island countries, namely, Fijij, Cook Islands, Kirabati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue Island, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tavalu and Vanuatu, Argentina, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Uruguay, and Myanmar.

(ii). Off-season Tourist Visa (April-June) up to one month @ US$ 10/-, Tourist Visa up to one month, all e-Visa from 01 to 05 year available @ US$ 25/- for Japan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.

(iii). Off-season Tourist Visa (April-June) up to one month @ US$ 10/-, Tourist Visa up to one month @ US$ 25/-, all e-Visa upto 01 year @ US$ 40/-, and up to 05 year available @ US$ 80/- for nationals of Mozambique, Russia, Ukraine, UK, USA and all other countries where e-Visa facility has been extended except the nationals of countries mentioned in S.No. (i) and (ii) above.

(iv). The passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in India and there should be at least two blank pages in the passport  for grant of e-visa.

(v). The applicant must travel on the passport on which the e-visa is applied.  However, entry would be allowed into India on the new passport even if the E-visa has been stamped on the old passport provided the old passport with e-visa is also carried.
